When part of the inheritance of the wealthy Kessler family became available, Guus Kessler III decided to invest his wealth. His vision? To use the annual proceeds to support missionaries worldwide. This marked the beginning of the Urco Foundation, which grew into a wonderful organization that has supported countless missionaries and others around the globe.

The board seeks to be good stewards of the entrusted assets, making sure that they are used responsibly within Urco Foundation, so the goals can be achieved to the fullest extent within Urco Foundation’s financial capabilities. The foundation maintains a core capital in the form of investments, the proceeds of which are used annually to support projects worldwide with a focus on discipleship and the growth of God’s Kingdom. Each year, around 100 projects are supported with a total contribution of more than €500,000.
