Faiz* (alias) shares his experience with Pamir Ministries:

Faiz: "When the new government took power, many people left Afghanistan out of fear and despair. But since fleeing is also dangerous, we decided to stay. Life here is hard: my children cannot go to school, food and drink are scarce, and we are pressured to attend the mosque.

Being openly Christian is challenging, so I am grateful for Pamir Ministries' radio programs. They allow us to listen to services, read the Bible, and pray at home. Our family listens every day, and my children are learning to pray and follow Jesus. I discuss my questions with a believer outside Afghanistan who helps me grow in my faith. When I am forced to go to the mosque, I use that time to pray for other Afghans, hoping they will come to know Jesus.

I thank God for the Afghan believers who have helped me find the truth and grow in my faith. Although I have sporadic contact with other believers in Afghanistan, the radio has been my main source of church community and spiritual growth."

what ‘Faiz’ shares is a compilation of what several regular callers to Pamir’s media ministries have expressed this year. Both the name change, and the compilation are done to protect the identity of Afghan followers of Jesus, as well as to give a fuller picture of life for Afghan believers.
